The bell dinged as the door was swung open, a panting man stood in the doorway.
He was tall, broad, his brown hair completely messed up from an assumed run on the way over, dark scars scattered across his tan skin. The clothes he was wearing were nothing too special—just a white tank top and some ripped black baggy jeans—but they showed off his sculpted arms, one of which was currently cradling a passed out kitten that looked tiny in his hold.
Except, despite his apparent rush, the man sunk himself into a nearby seat at the sight of Grian, letting himself breathe.

His small smiles, his fond laughs, the sheer volume of love behind his watchful eyes. With a love so grand, it’s absolutely hard to miss.
And Kaoru would be lying to say he didn’t feel the same way, even if it wasn’t as obvious.

And when Joe stood, faced him head on, breaths dusting his cheeks and heat flooding off of him, the crowd only grew louder. Then, he offered a hand and a raised eyebrow.
Of course, sticking to his character, Kaoru gave the hand one single, fleeting look before shoving past him, dipping under the ropes and walking back up the ramp to backstage. Joe and Cherry hated each other, that was the whole schtick.
It was easy to say Kaoru knew how to play that part all too well.
As stated by critics, it was one of Adam’s first good ideas since he became general manager.

Pearl tilted her head. Gem pointed at the window and called out.

“What’s what?” Pearl turned quickly, scanning the windows.
Gem turned to Skizz and drew a single finger across her throat. Skizz shrugged before grinning and giving a whistle.
She turned back to Pearl. “Oh, it must have been my imagination. Oops.”

“Is this your doing?”
“No, it’s not—why would I—”
“To distract me,” Kaoru says curtly, before turning his head away. “Well, it’s not going to work.” He moves to crouch on his board and gain speed, but he halts in the motion half-way through, his attention caught by the sign pasted onto a nearby rock wall. When Kojiro sees it himself, he nearly falls off of his board entirely.
You’re my sweetheart, the sign reads, the letters framed with cherry blossom branches. It’s not very subtle—it’s obviously a message meant for Kaoru. Kojiro has no idea why Adam would do such a thing during a beef between Kojiro and Kaoru, but the uneasy feeling that’s been stirring in his gut since he’d arrived at S tonight is starting to grow.
Kaoru finishes scrutinizing the sign to whip around to squint at Kojiro. Kojiro’s hands shoot up in the air.
“I—I didn’t put that there—”

“You know Grian, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a panda before.” Scar states casually, as if that isn’t the most insane thing to say with no prior context.
“What do you mean by that Scar?” There’s an obviously-tired tone to Grian’s voice, which can be easily explained by the fact they’re lounging in their living room, sprawled across each other with a blanket carelessly tossed over them both. They had just finished watching a claymation movie Grian demanded they watch around Christmas every year and were soon to head off to bed.
Scar tells his boyfriend Grian he doesn't believe in pandas and Grian sets out to prove they exist.
Somewhere along the way, Scar realises he wants to marry him as soon as possible.
