This isn't how Simon envisioned his Saturday night. They were meant to stay up late watching films and gorging on snacks. He was meant to be downstairs cuddling his boyfriend, for goodness sake! He wasn't meant to be locked in the bathroom crying and hyperventilating because he had expectantly started bleeding. Especially when his friends (and boyfriend) didn't even know he was trans.

Bram began to thread his fingers through Simon’s curls as he thought about how he wanted to phrase his next words. “Can you look at me?”
Simon slowly lifted his eyes, now slightly ringed red and puffy. Bram brushed his golden curls back and planted a soft kiss in the middle of Simon’s furrowed brows.
“I think they’ll be sad to know things got that hard for you and that maybe they didn’t know and couldn’t help you at the time. And they’ll probably wonder if things are better for you now. But I don’t think they could ever have a single bad word to say about you, Simon.”
