He nearly cried out at the impact. The Black Paladin dug his hands into the fabric of his shirt, pushing him harshly against the wall, "Where is Lance?!" Keith snarled. It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if not for all the tiny, almost inconsequential details he held in his memory of this man.
Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with the first ship we come across and stay the fuck away from him."In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath.

Lance had spent his whole life trying to live up to his position but he had never quite been enough. Not as a poor, orphaned child growing up on the streets of Altea's capital. Not as the half-breed, illegitimate young prince born from one of his father's many affairs. Not as good as any of his siblings to be garnered proper recognition. Not as the second Blue Paladin. Not as Altea's youngest Cavalry Captain.
He'd finally begun to accept that as he grew closer to coming of age.
But none of that mattered when the war began and Lance, 10 000 years later, dropped out of a cryopod as one of the last remaining Alteans.

Lance is pretty used to being stressed, he had practically escaped its effects by now just with how accustomed he was to the tight anxiety that constantly managed to follow him around.
Between Uni, work, and his social life, he liked to think he was handling himself quite well - even if his crush getting a tad too strong to be fleeting. Things were manageable.Until he found himself drawing out Keith's name for Secret Santa, the one name he didn't want to get.

"Blaytz, my original paladin." Blue supplied in response to his thoughts shifting to the blue alien.
Blaytz and the Altean seemed to be whispering to each other, giggling. It reminded Lance of whenever him and Pidge would gossip at the dinner (although he and Pidge rarely sat next eachother) or even those nerve wracking times when Pidge and Keith decide they want to prank someone.The Altean was average height, for a human at least, and had long blueish white hair gently cascading down his back, tied in a loose ponytail.
His face was what startled Lance the most. It was shockingly similar to his own. Smooth tanned skin, he didn't seem to be wearing any make up, unlike Lance who usually wore it to cover his freckles. His eyes seemed to be glowing with excitement in a blue that matched the markings that lay under his eyes."That is Amira, my second paladin."
Lance finds out he's part-Altean along with his feelings for a certain red paladin. Goes through seasons 2-3 and becomes canon divergent at about the season 3 point. Lance is my favourite character so of course there's gonna be a ton of langst.
