At the grand age of 5, Emily Elspeth Stewart, the resident of a small Scottish Isle, discovers she has a soulmate in a Jamie Barnes, age 7, of Brooklyn in the Americas with his best friend a Stevie Rogers, Age 6, of not very good health. By the time they've saved up enough money for a ticket (or two) across the great lake between them, Jamie is in Europe fighting the war alongside a changed Stevie. It takes over a century for the three to meet, it's just a good job Emily stopped ageing in her early twenties.

Peter loves his friends. Which is why he had to kill them. And now, he's doing- well. Alright. Things didn't turn out exactly as he'd anticipated, but he's making it work. Living his life. As a rat. Mostly trying not to think about things.
Fine. Things could be better.
But he hadn't thought they'd get worse- which is exactly what happens when, three years after James died, he's come back. And for some godforsaken reason, he's decided to make that Peter's problem. (Okay, okay- Peter gets it. He did kill him.) Peter is sure that James is going to turn him in, ruin his life the same as Peter had ruined the Marauders.
But this is James. And he doesn't do any of that.
What was Peter expecting, really?
(Features: A lot of fighting, a lot of forgiveness, and a splash of necromancy. Alright, you got me- rather a lot of necromancy. But come on- we can't just have the ghost of Christmas James show up. Haven't you seen 'A Muppet's Christmas Carol'? There needs to be at least two more ghosts.)

Taken in by storyteller Brom, they travel for the Varden, the resistance force fighting the empire.
Eragon is barely 16, unprepared for the challenges ahead of them, and always getting into trouble. His dragon, Saphira, has her work cut out for her keeping him alive. But as their journey goes on, he finds his dreams plagued by a beautiful woman in terrible pain...a pain he must soon face himself.
Murtagh is only just a man, worried that his younger brother is not ready for a life of war, and unsuspecting of his own origins. He and his dragon Thorn have plenty of things to keep an eye out for as their situation worsens. Though Murtagh thinks he understands the world, one of Galbatorix's hunters could shake everything he thought he knew.
With the Varden just clinging on and their lives dangling by a thread, the brothers are in for the fight of their lives.
