Tommy was 8, when he watched his parents be brought out of the torch of a building, burned from unforgiving flames.
Tommy was 10, when his aunt and uncle decided he was ‘too much’ to take care of.
Tommy was 14, and had been in the foster system for three years (give or take a few months)
Tommy is 17, an orphan, a runaway, and has been a vigilante for six months. He also has a job at a local cafe(!)
Red Ferret is ‘21’, the quickest up-and-coming vigilante in the city of New L’manberg, and a fucking nuisance to society.
OR
Tommy, known as the vigilante 'Red Ferret' catches the attention of the three top heroes; The Blade, Whisper and Philza. Should he decide to trust them, or will they turn around and stab him in the back?

Summary
Charles thought it’d be grand, a revelation that stopped him and the world in its tracks as if hit by the biggest bloody vehicle possible. He thought it would come to him all at once – the feeling, the voice, the sense. Maybe it’d be while they were alone, somewhere scenic or romantic or both. Somewhere different, feeling different.
Love, Charles learned, did not work like that. At least, not for him.

Edwin did not have any expectations set. He had pushed the thought of it aside his whole life, left to accept a life of solitude and no meaningful attachments. He didn’t have friends in school, so he certainly did not have any romantic contenders. If Edwin were to think about feeling that way, it’d be an impossible thought.
Love, Edwin learned, did not work like that. It didn’t have to, not for him.

Charles realises he's always been in love. Edwin tries to fall out of love. Fortunately, he's not sure how to.
