Summary
Buck put down his brush and admired his handiwork in the mirror. It wasn’t much, just a rainbow flag on his right cheek and a bi flag on his left, both a little smudged around the edges, but he didn’t really care about that.
Today was his first time at Pride as an out and proud bisexual man. And he was gonna dance, and enjoy himself, and march down the street with his very hot, very gay boyfriend holding his hand. Just thinking about it set a flock of butterflies free in his stomach, a nervous smile sneaking onto his face.
He wanted to belong somewhere. Had always wanted to belong somewhere. And yeah, the 118 was his family, where he did belong, but…
This felt different. He couldn’t put his finger on why, but it did. Like something that had never made sense about his life had suddenly clicked into place.
*
Buck is vibrating in his own skin about attending his first Pride as an out and Proud™ part of the community. He spent hours finding the perfect silly, but accurate shirt, the best face paint, the highest quality bracelets...
Then he sees Tommy's outfit. And almost decides they don't actually need to go.

Summary
“Oh, he wishes!” Tommy scoffed playfully, deciding to ignore the not-at-all-convincing expression, the corners of his mouth ticking upward as he looked down at Little Man, rocking him gently. “He’s actually eternally on my craplist because he peed on me when I changed him and now my shirt smells like piss.” He started tickling Little Man’s belly, drawing out a few small grunts that could almost be mistaken for a laugh if you were feeling generous. “You’re a little pee machine, huh?”
Hen’s expression softened, though there was something in her eyes that Tommy couldn’t quite place. She hesitated for a moment before finally pulling a stethoscope out of her bag. “Alright, baby boy,” she said, reaching for the baby. “Time to see how you really are.”
Almost instinctively, Tommy took a step back, pulling Little Man closer. “Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Can you do it while I hold him?”

Summary
Tommy never wanted to do this. He was perfectly happy to keep this part of himself a secret from Evan, ride out his full moons on his own with whatever flimsy excuse he could come up with. It was only once a month anyway.
But then Evan goes missing when the 118 and the 217 tackle a fire together, and Tommy finds himself having to make a decision he never, ever wanted to make.
