Starkiller has been destroyed. The Resistance is safe...for now.
While the remaining fleet escapes D'Qar to find safety in the outer rim , Finn and Rey are sent to find Luke Skywalker on distant planet and convince him to fight alongside them to defeat the First Order. Not sure if inspired is the right word because I'm setting them in that universe? View them like the Pokémon movies essentially they're not canon to that writers work they're just there if you want to read them. Like they use the same setting but they're not cannon to that writers work. You get what I mean.
