But as he stands before Tommy, his shoulders shaking, and his eyes shining in the moonlight, he’s about as close as he gets to it. Tommy reaches up to grab his hand with his smaller ones. He hadn’t meant to make him sad.
He just wanted to tell him how much he missed his dad!
How he didn’t mind dying if it meant Phil would be his family again.
“You’re not supposed to be this…this small. Is this how bad we failed you?” It’s barely said over a whisper. Tommy has to strain his ears to even make out the words.
“I promise Tommy,” Phil says his eyes growing a fire in them. “We’re going to make this right. We’ll make it go away.”
And under the snowfall of the arctic winds. Tommy can’t help but believe him.

Too many responses to count flashed through Tommy’s mind. This man was going to kill him, there was no denying that. No denying that Tommy had been stupid. That mantra had gotten him through the night, sure, but it wasn’t true, and now he was going to die.
In the forest, he didn't know what was coming to kill him. Now, though, he knew it would be this man, with his soft cloak and softer eyes, Tommy wasn’t so afraid.
Might as well encourage him to make it quick.
“Because I know where you live, you rebel fuck,” he spat. “I know exactly where we are.”

Theseus was born from the stars.
He was made of little bits of seashell and sand, crushed together and molded with spring water and mud. His lungs were full of wind from mountains that rose so high they disappeared into the clouds. His eyes were full of the rising dawn, pale blue painted across the sky like watercolor. His flesh was made of moss and grass and tiny bits of flowers. His hair was made of clouds and fields of rye that rippled like scarves when the wind danced through them. His heart was full of magma, fiery and bright and with a light built to never burn out. And yet he looked so human. with baby blue eyes and sunshine blonde hair, pale skin with a rose colored tint, a smile like freshly fallen snow, a laugh like birdsong. And though years and eons had passed, he hardly changed, still untainted and young, barely a teen.
Theseus was born from the stars, and placed on earth long ago to keep it company, to look after it.

“Tommy,” She says. She tries to keep her voice even but even she can hear the edge.
Tommy blinks a few times, his fingers curl around the blanket over him.
“Hello?” She doesn't even consider keeping the annoyance out of her voice this time. Fine. He cant talk for whatever reason, doesn't mean he can't have the decency to look up at her.
Tommy tenses and he blinks a few more times. After what could have been minutes, he looks up.
The second they make eye contact Tommy lights up. His shoulders go down and his eyes seem to brighten. His eyebrows go up and his lips part slightly.

Sam rescues Tommy from the prison, and no one knows he's died. Everything is too loud, too bright, too much. He is bombarded with sensory information, struggling to process it after the nothingness of the Afterlife. It take him three days to leave his house. He's been gone for two weeks, and he hopes that someone has noticed, but on a trip to the hotel he halts as he sees another hotel beside it. And there in the doorway, with matching rings on their fingers and laughing without a care in the world, are Ranboo and Tubbo.
Tommy's been forgotten.
But over the next few weeks, Niki and Jack seek him out. Sometimes individually, sometimes together, but Tommy is always delighted to see them no matter what they do. Who cares about the murder attempts? They're seeking him out! They want to spend time with him, clearly. Tommy misses them; they were friends before New L'Manberg, and he's happy to have them back as friends again.
Or,
I really love guilty villains lol and so Tommy befriends Jack and Niki even as they continually try and kill him until they start questioning their choices. (And Tommy knows about it but what's a little pain when he gets friends in exchange?)

As haunted memories of explosions and screams drifted across his mind, he brushed his finger over the Wilbur Soot engraved onto the dented metal.
It was singed and blackened, dented and cracked. The stickers he and Niki had secretly put, of L’manburg and cupcakes were faded but relatively intact. But it was Wilbur’s, and that’s all Tommy cared about.

The last thing they expected was to be thrown into the brutal murder case of their youngest.
Now they have to tackle the grief of abandoning Tommy in his time of need, and dig to find out who killed him. And as Wilbur listens through his collection of voicemails left by his brother, Tommy may not be as innocent as he thought he was.

“I don’t believe you for a second,” the villager said with a scoff. “Reviving the dead? You, a god? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve heard in all my years.”
“Oh? You don’t believe me?” Dream smiled. “That’s okay, I’m more than willing to give you all a demonstration. Tommy,” he called, gesturing to the blond.
Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.
Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.

Summary
Tommy "Theseus" Innit Craft was 26 years old today. Happy birthday to him. It was the fourth of July (if his calendar was still serving him correctly) and a rather chilled, bitter day for the expected peak of the Summer season if he was perfectly honest.
Tommy had woken up as he did every other morning - long legs swinging down from a messy bed, hands reaching upwards to brush against his bouncy curls and a yawn peeling from his lips. The bags under his eyes hadn't gotten any better, nor had the paleness to his skin.
But that was alright. It always was alright, these days. (He didn't mind the mundane life, the tedious tasks and the continuous realisation that he was alone and always would be forevermore.)
