Loki caught the box as easily as if he’d been waiting for it and opened his eyes, a smirk curling across his lips knowing perfectly well he’d caught Mobius staring. A spark of heat flared to life in Mobius’ chest, one that he’d been trying to ignore ever since that first handshake.
“A—choo!” Mobius barely had time to lift his arm to catch the sneeze, and it was Loki’s turn to take a startled step back.
In which Mobius battles a mysterious illness, trying to keep Loki and the multiverse safe, only to watch his world fall apart.

I hope you’re staying warm up there. I can only imagine how cold it is; I do hope your mare keeps a steady foot in the mountains. I know you know this, because you grew up first-hand in that ungodly sea of ice, but please be careful. There’s more snow here in Fraldarius; the children in town have been building snowmen out on the lawn of the manor. You won’t be surprised to hear my father is absolutely delighted by them.
I wrote you another letter earlier in the week, but I’ve just received his highness’s invitation for his Coronation. I’d only be hurting myself and you if I failed to mention how happy I am to see you in Fhirdiad, even if it is for a silly ball for the boar king of our great nation. “Any surprises for us?”
“They wouldn’t be surprises if I just went and told you, would they?” Robby half-laughed, his hand lightly patting his back. Which was the same thing Dana did just moments before, but also somehow not the same at all. Jack relaxed into it, the touch familiar and welcoming, if only fleeting.
Except that it wasn’t fleeting, not this time. Robby’s hand stilled but remained on his back, the tips of his fingers just barely grazing the skin above his collar. Jack sent him a surprised look but obviously said nothing, choosing to relish in the touch for as long as he was allowed.

“Just a cold,” is what Robby keeps saying about his condition. Just a cold when he’s coughing into his fist, just a cold when he’s coughing into his elbow, just a cold when he’s showing no other symptoms of a cold whatsoever. Just a cold when he starts carrying tissues in his pocket to cough into whenever he needs it, which is often.
And the kicker is that he thinks Jack doesn’t notice.

When she glances away from the hearts on the wall and back towards Robby again, his expression has become a nervous one instead. He asks, hesitant, “It’s not right, is it? You know, I knew I should’ve—”
“Right for what?” Nat demands again, trying to figure this out.
Dana nudges her side, leaning in to stage-whisper, “He’s trying to take you on a date.”
