Atrapada en la Tierra Media, Elin Priddy ha intentado mantenerse al margen de los sucesos de la Compañía del Anillo todo lo que ha podido... Hasta que, al final, no ha tenido más remedio que intervenir.
Ahora, Boromir vive y las cosas pueden llegar a cambiar mucho, quizá demasiado, y Elin tendrá que luchar para que esta no sea la pieza que crea un efecto dominó devastador. También tiene que buscar las respuestas que le faltan, entre ellas la de cómo volver a casa (o si es posible volver, siquiera), mientras se cierne una guerra sobre la Tierra Media y ella está en el centro de todo.
¿Cómo sobrevivirá a tantas incógnitas, batallas para las que no está preparada y a cierto elfo que no deja de derribar todas sus defensas?
