Zrozen z popela a žhavého dechu Čtrnácti. Emrys Raenor, přezdívaný Emrys plamený zpěvák vzkřísil jednu ze čtyřiceti rodin staré Valyrie. Společně s ní se k životu probudilo i nové proroctví, jež noví i staří bohové zašili do samotného přediva osudu jejich milovaného světa. Proroctví , neproroctví, schodit ho přímo do sopky bylo zatraceně nezdvořilé! Když už má plnit slova někoho jiného udělá si to Emrys po svém. Vždy přímo k jádru problému, jen kdyby sakra věděl, co znamenaly všechny ty dary, zabalené v záhadných slovech poselství, které ho škrtilo jako železná kazajka. Dřív nevěřil na Bohy, dneska by tvrdil, že jsou to ti nejhorší zmetkové jaké kdy slunce světa spatřilo. A nejstrašnější ze všech je veliký pán světla R'hllor! Když opustí bezpečí popelavých zahrad zjistí, že se mu na paty přilepil jen další problém. A ten problém má jméno Daemon Targaryen.

Experience and strenght, some would say. The Major had both of these qualities. Still, it was exceedingly strange that he had survived nearly eighty years of clans wars with only a few not pretty scars from their poison. In his own way, he was unattractive anomaly. At least in those lands, where the lives of newborns were often measured in mere weeks, sometimes months, if someone was lucky as hell. But Major Whitlock stood above all that rules like a fucking legend, one they whispered about in terror around their camps at night, as if for a grim bedtime story.

Summary
Zkušenosti a síla, řekli by jedni. Major obě tyto věci měl. Přesto , pře ze vše bylo nadmíru podivné, že přežil skoro osmdesát let v klanových válkách jen s pár jizvami po jedu. Byl svým způsobem nehezká anomálie. V těch končinách se počítaly nesmrtelné životy novorozených v týdnech, někdy v měsících, když měl někdo z pekla štěstí. Ale Major Whitlock stál nad tím vším jako legenda, kterou si po večerech s hrůzou šeptají ve svých táborech na dobrou noc.

“Has Aerion repeated his… advances?” Baelor asks carefully.
“Well, he—The prince is…”
“Like a whore desperate for some coin.”
“Stubborn.” Ser Duncan finishes, wide-eyed.
“That too, I suppose,” Baelor says wryly. “I don’t need to tell you to pay him no mind, do I?”
“No,” The knight denies vehemently. “I won’t disappoint you like that, Your Grace.”
A pause, after which Baelor hears himself ask as though he’s outside of his body, listening in. He regrets the words as soon as they come out of his mouth. “And if you hadn’t pledged yourself to me?”
Ser Duncan looks caught, his blush darkening high up in his cheeks. “I have no business doing that with a prince.”
“And if he wasn’t one?” He presses.
“I don’t know. Aerion is hateful, but—pretty.”
“Yes, I suppose so.” Baelor sighs. Aerion is pretty. It’s everything he hides behind that which makes him ugly.
“You are very handsome as well, Your Grace.” Ser Duncan is quick to reassure him, nodding seriously.
Inevitably charmed, Bealor has to hide his smile behind his hand.
Or, Dunk gets two Targaryen squires and finds himself in the middle of a bizarre love triangle.
