Except, they get brought into a new foster family that puts a wrench in their plans by actually caring about them. How are they supposed to die young when they suddenly have a family that actually wants them around? Looks like they'll have to either push them away or accept it.
This will take them down a path they had never expected for themself, and some paths they had expected, but in the end they'll be the mentor to the world's greatest hero; but that's another story.Series

Two and a half years ago Izuku committed suicide. His body was never recovered but the bridge he jumped from was high and the river deep enough that police figured it had been washed away in the time it took for anyone to realize he was missing.
That's what Katsuki had been told.
Except none of that can be true since Izuku just burst into the dank, musty, bar that the League of Villains is holding him in.

The words that bloom on Katsuki’s arm are painfully familiar, to the point that he can hear the grating, wobbly voice saying them in his ear. They’re specific in a damning way, but at the same time vague enough that it could be someone else who says them. Someone he still has to meet in a situation that hasn’t yet occurred.
…Okay, so that’s a bunch of bullshit and he’s not pathetic enough to cling to desperate hope like that for too long. But he’s got some time to convince himself it’s possible his soulmate is someone else. Anyone else.
