Bernard pops the top off his water bottle, a roll of his wrist at the perfect angle and it comes right off, and pops the faucet in Tim’s very nice kitchen to cold. Tim presses a kiss to the back of Bernard’s neck before Tim moves to the fridge to get his own water.
Bernard used to not drink as much water, but Tim drinks enough water for three people a day so Bernard naturally has followed- and now Bernard has no acne so he’s sort of mad about it actually. “The main character has two hands.” Bernard chimes easy and teasing. “Polygamy is the awnser here babe.”
Tim peaks over the door of the fridge. “Oh? Is this you telling me something?”

Summary
It’s hard to stay cynical in the face of Clark Kent and his relentless optimism. Looking at him there, still in his button up shirt from his business trip, sleeves rolled up, still focused even though it’s pushing midnight, she feels a warm, steady wave of fondness in her chest.
She wishes they could do this every night. Not the pulling a furious all-nighter right after someone tried to murder her – that part she could take or leave. But it would be nice to spend every evening with Clark. She’d always told herself she liked her space, but being with Clark was like having space and having company rolled into one.
Her highly caffeinated, sleep-deprived brain catches up with the implications of that thought process, and she thinks, shit.
After years of pining after an alien demi-god who is, much as she hates to admit it, miles out of her league, Lois realises she's caught feelings for her co-worker. Unsure whether or not to tell him, she seeks advice from the most sensitive guy she knows - Superman. Things don't go as she expected...

Such an amazing series of fics. I was reading the heck out of this when I could and obviously feeling for the characters. But while I was reading I found myself in my own situation. It's strange how I found myself saying very similar things to the bats, and I wish I could go back to no longer relating to these characters in such a way. I wish I had the resources to solve everything, or that I did something sooner. but this story does point out that even rich superheroes can't solve this.
I don't want to get too emotional or personal in this, but it's a truly great read and in a strange way, brought some comfort to see others in a similar, fictional situation. -

just found out I didn't ever bookmark this series. what? loved it, it inspired my MCU phase and got me more into marvel in general. there may have been fics before it but this really got me more excited. Also wanna say that my interest in marvel played no small part in me dating my boyfriend. So thank you to this fic, I made some friends and more. This was an amazing read, and I still think about it from time to time.

While trying to get approved as a foster parent, former foster child Doc Monsterra finds himself helping out his old college friend and longtime crush with the local Buttercup Scouts troop! It’s not all fun and games and selling cookies, though, and Doc soon finds himself entangled in the lives of the kids he’s helping out. As cookie season begins and the annual scout camp approaches, Doc grows closer to Ren and to the kids, and finds his life changed forever.

Grian frowns. He considers their joined hands, before smiling and letting them go. “Do not swear. Although I joy in thee, I have no joy of this contract tonight. It—“
Scar starts to speak, taking a step forward, but Grian takes a step back, planting his hands on Scar’s shoulders. “It is too rash!” he insists. ”Too unadvised, too sudden. Too like the lightning, which doth cease to be ere one can say, ‘it lightens’.”
Scar says nothing — he has no written line here. But he takes Grian’s hand in his. He holds it, gently, as if it’s something fragile. Grian’s completely blindsided as he feels a pang in his chest. Oh, Scar.
He places his other hand over Scar’s, squeezing it reassuringly. His voice is soft as he finishes his line. “Sweet, good night…”
Aah. This is the part of the scene where Scar and Pearl would’ve. You know.
He sees Scar give an imperceptible nod, eyes locked with his.
Grian is cast as Juliet and Scar is cast as Romeo as they rehearse the balcony scene oh no I wonder what could possibly happen

Grian sighs. There’s no other choice, really. Whether or not Scar helps him preen his wings, it’s a bad situation. Vulnerable if he does, vulnerable if he doesn’t.
But at the end of the day, he would rather be vulnerable with Scar.
Scar gets a bunch of sand in Grian's wings, what happens next will shock you.

Crowley's sure he's manifesting them accidentally out of sheer romantic desperation. It's bad enough trying to hide his unrequited love as they grow closer post-Apocaloops - what if Aziraphale sees the objects for what they are, a window into his yearning soul? Unfortunately, the only way to banish the objects seems to be talking about each memory...
Meanwhile, Aziraphale is just trying to woo his demon boyfriend with big gestures, ready to prove his devotion. And if Crowley acts awkward about the miracles? Surely that's just his difficulty accepting affection. The solution: shower him with as much of it as possible...
Eventually these two will communicate, even if it takes 'til the end of the year. For now there will be cuddling, excuses for closeness, sappy words, flashbacks, nostalgia, bickering, and an obscene variety of holiday foods. Oh, and footnotes. That's right. We're doing those too.

Grian thought back to obsidian and endstone and blood, to tattered wings and torn robes and so so many unseeable eyes, and swallowed hard.
"No," he said, his voice shaky. "No, I don't think anyone will come looking for me."
"Okay," Xisuma answered, and that was that.
Until they invited two new people to the server.
or, the Hermitcraft Backstory Rule says that you don't ask other people about their backstory, you let them tell it if they want to and leave it be if they don't.
Unfortunately for Grian, one of the newest Hermits was also a player on his old server - one he'd thought had been dead for years - and she's going to drag his backstory kicking and screaming into the light whether she means to or not.

Religion isn't a common thing across the Severs, but with the wide range of backgrounds the Hermits come from, Xisuma is sure they each have their own beliefs. He doesn't think it's that uncommon to follow a god, certainly not worth the look of terror on Grian's face when Xisuma explains that his patron is a Watcher named Xelqua.

Watchers were supposed to be worshipped. It’s their source of powers as minor deities, after all.
Grian, who wanted nothing more than to forget his Watcher past, was quite happy not to be worshipped at all. So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?
