Summary
Hikaru likes being Hikaru because being Hikaru means he can be with Yoshiki. Yoshiki likes Hikaru…but doesn’t like the monster.
The monster makes him sinful, dirty, and disgusting. Hiraku is oblivious to how his own choices deviate from social norms. And he’s oblivious to how Yoshiki is, by association and action, also defying those comfortable rules he’s dead set on following.
When people start to notice Hikaru and Yoshiki’s queerness, it all goes down hill. But one thing about a valley is it’ll always go back up again.
