Luego de que su secta le pactara un matrimonio con el mismísimo heredero de la secta Wen, que un joven Lan Qiren es enviado a Qishawen para llevar a cabo su “cortejo” (una mera formalidad) y posteriormente su boda.
Con su cuñada muerta, sus sobrinos confundidos por la ausencia de su madre, un hermano en un preocupante declive, pero no aun en reclusión, por supuesto Lan Qiren jamás se hubiera atrevido a abandonar a su secta y sobre todo a su familia
Pero Qinghenj-Jun decidió entonces su partida en contra de su voluntad.“Xiongzhang me disculpo si he cometido un acto que te agraviara, en verdad lo lamento, pero no entiendo porque llegar a este extremo”. Qiren trato de hablar para quedarse, trato de no ser alejado injustamente. El en verdad lo intento… antes y después.
Pero su hermano había decido también no escucharlo.
“Claramente no me di a entender lo suficiente Qiren”. Dijo su hermano en un tono plano. “Tu unión con el heredero Wen es un hecho que yo mismo he decidido y como líder de nuestra secta, mi palabra ha de cumplirse como corresponde”
Sin voz para protestar y sin opciones, Lan Qiren parte del Receso de las nubes esa misma tarde.
