Summary
"I'm sorry," El said softly as she crisscrossed her legs on the couch to face him better. "I know the rules said no spying."
Their knees bumped into each other as he moved to mirror her position. Her hands clasped onto his, and every small bit of skin on skin felt dizzying and heady, almost like her touch was a drug after being without it for so long. Mike giggled half-giddy through his tears.
"Screw the rules," he said. "You make your own rules, remember?" She smiled a soft little smile at this, bright and warm like a blanket bathed in colorful sunset light, and he wanted to burrow in and just live there. Her hands in his were warm too, a little callused, but still as soft and small as he remembered and so, so alive.
AKA Five times Mike Wheeler wanted to believe El was 'visiting' him after her death(?) at the gate, and one time he knew she was. Fair warning, gang - it's gonna hurt before it gets better.
PART 1 of this slow-ish burn Mike/El reunion story in 3 fics because SCREW that ending! They will always find each other. This part follows Mike from 1987 to 1993.

Summary
The guys tend to El after losing the Mind Fight, and then head home. Mike finally gets a chance to make it up to El after their unresolved fight. He's sure as hell gonna take it.
(Oops, my hand slipped and a missing scene from season 4 episode 9 fell out of my computer. Never wrote for ST before, but I've had big mommy-feels watching these adorable babies grow up and learn how to love each other for like 9 years now, so ok, fine. I've read a few people's takes on how things went in between the Mind Fight and "Two Days Later," but I guess I felt like taking my own crack at it.)

Summary
Shortly after the events of episode 6. Osha is in the space between despair and recovery, still resistant, but Qimir is patient.
If you want a little spice, that's in chapter 2.

Summary
Stede tried not to worry. After all, tomorrow was his birthday.
“I wasn’t born, though - I… I came online. A few days before the mission launch, like I told you.”
“Yeah, so… That could be your birthday then.”
“Perhaps. Shouldn’t…? Nevermind…”
“No, what is it?”
“Just… One’s birthday is when they… became alive, yes?”
“Yeah.”
“Maybe those years before you woke me up were just… Incubating, in a sense?”
“You don’t think you were alive before that?”
“I didn’t feel that way… Ed, your heart rate and respiration just jumped - and you’ve flushed - is this a good or a bad stress?”
“It’s not bad stress, Stede. Whatever day you want for your birthday, that’s what it’ll be. If the day you came alive is the day we met, well…”
“This pleases you?”
Ed stroked his arm. “Maybe it’s the real birthday for both of us.”They'd been so happy.
Why, then?
Why had Ed left him behind almost every evening, every day, for the last two months?
