Summary
There are only a few rules to aquarium fics.
1) one love interest must be an aquarium, and the other love interest must be an animal
2) the POV character must be the aquarium
3) the aquarium is sentient but inanimate and cannot interact with its environment in any way
4) the aquarium and audience don't know if the animal recognizes the aquarium
5) the animal must die, and must be reincarnated as another tank-dwelling animal (either the same animal or a different animal)
6) the story must be a one-shot 750-3,000 wordsAt its core, this is fundamentally a reincarnated soulmates trope.

Summary
Travis is just trying to live his life, but the world—and his asshole childhood friend (and said asshole childhood friend's husband)—won't leave him the fuck alone. So what if he's in love with Vox and has been for the last 15 years? What does that have to do with anything?
Regardless, he gets bullied into a polyamorous relationship with two dumbass serial killers who have serious issues and are clingy as hell. Vox, he's used to. Alastor? He still hates the bastard. For now.
A series of vignettes in the it's not murder cinematic universe exploring the relationship (if you want to call it that) between Vox, Alastor, and Travis, for my ride-or-dies.

Summary
Nothing in life is certain, except death, taxes, and Alastor and Vox. Somehow, no matter what universe they’re in, the two manage to find each other.
Alastor is nine years old when V and his fancy family move into the house at the end of his street. They’re not at all how Alastor expects. He’s never met anybody as cold and controlling as V’s parents, and he’s never met anyone he’s liked as much as he likes V. They quickly become friends after Alastor saves V from a cruel punishment in the Louisiana sun, and V finds himself welcomed into a family where nobody yells at each other, nobody gets hit for misbehaving, and where he can be free for the first time in his life.
What kind of men can two boys become when found family and love disrupt the cycle of isolation that creates monsters?
(A queer coming-of-age exploration of how connection, trauma, and environment shape who we become, told with grounded psychological realism. A litfic-style narrative following Alastor and Vox from childhood into adulthood as found family rewrites their trajectories.
A companion piece to It’s Not Murder, imagining what might have happened if the two hadn’t grown up in isolation, but readable as standalone.)

Summary
Alastor is minding his own business, about to rail Vox over the kitchen table like usual, when some obnoxious jackass won't stop knocking on the door. Luckily, it's just Vox's dad. This is the dirty nasty version of Chapter 22 of it's not murder, it's research and waste disposal.

Summary
Vox is well-loved and respected in his community, which is great for getting away with unethical and highly illegal scientific research for personal gratification via human experimentation, but it's getting boring. So when he's offered relocation from the Midwest to New Orleans, he takes the opportunity to integrate himself into a new place, to insulate himself as he establishes hunting grounds outside his new community.
He's not expecting to meet the meanest man he's ever met in his entire life, one who absolutely despises him. Vox immediately falls in love and makes things worse by pulling pigtails to get attention. Nothing works to change the dynamic, until Alastor finds Vox trying to dispose of a dead body deep in the bayou and stays around instead of running away. They bond over their mutual interest.
They bond quite a bit over it.
There's a ton of bonding, really. And some plot and killing, but it's a lot of sex—I mean bonding—and sociopaths falling in love.
