Ray’s never met Mikey’s brother even though he has heard a lot about the guy. Now, they’re going to be roommates.
Ray doesn’t know how much baggage Gerard comes with (or how much of it he’s willing to carry), but he’d do just about anything for Mikey. If that means helping out his reclusive, weird brother, then so be it.

He didn’t have time to decide anything before his acquaintance moved closer, tucking the box of cat food into the basket dangling from their arm. When they saw him, Gerard smiled a little shyly.
“I didn’t expect to see you here, Mr Toro.”
The formality caught him off-guard and made Ray blush, feeling like he was about to be scolded.
“You have a cat?” He said, stupidly, and gestured to the cat food.
In his defense, the pretty coat (and the pretty person wearing it) was very distracting.
