Summary
Keith is starting over. He doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life so decides to pack everything up and move. It sounds complicated but his entire life can fit into half a dozen boxes, easily stored in the back of his car.
The house he finds online is an extremely good deal: too good, if you know what I mean. But that is easily explained because the house is haunted. Oh, the real estate company didn’t disclose that information of course, but Keith has always been more attuned with the energies around him and knows immediately.
He’s fine living with an invisible roommate as long as said roommate doesn’t bother him. And for a short while all is well, but then the ghost starts to talk. And talk and talk and talk. And then the jokes start. Awful jokes, just awful. Except they’re not, not really. Some are eye rolling and groan inducing, yes; others are so obvious it's borderline stupid, and still others are: What do you get if you cross a Cocker Spaniel, a French Poodle, and a Ghost?

Dadan didn't need to see him to know he was there. Of all possible bullshit that could happen to her, time travel had Monkey D shenanigans stamped all over it. And considering her kid’s Pirate King now, it would be a fool’s bet to think he hadn’t got himself wrapped up in some new adventure or another and ended up bragging her to fucking Marinefort of all place. "I didn't do nuthing!" yelled back at her from the crowd of marines and pirates told her she was spot on, even if the brat himself probably did not know at this point what in Nika's name he managed to do in order to drag her back not only from the embrace of death but toss her back in time as well
But that mattered little now. The brat was alive and would stay alive. It's her other brat that she's worried about. It doesn’t more than a cursory glance to notice her surroundings. Because there, up on the scaffold, alive - still thankfully alive and he would stay like that if she had anything to say about it - Ace chortles in surprise and gasped a word he had not used since he was knee high.
