Summary
Jeon Jeongguk is an astral witch. More commonly known as a star witch, but mostly described by witching society as a walking explosion waiting to happen.
His rare power manifests as a literal star inside his soul. A resource of pure energy, magic and starlight that builds and builds inside of him. It needs release, a coven bond, monitoring, in order for him to be considered 'safe' and 'stable' — as is recommended by the Grand High Council. A load of bullshit, if you ask him. He wants nothing to do with the Councils, coven bonds, or any witches who want him as a magical battery for their coven. Jeongguk has been fine on his own, ever since leaving his birth coven in Busan, and he will continue to be fine. Registered as a minor divinity witch, his life goals consist of: completing his shield magical casting degree and license at Seoul National University of Magick, retaining the iron control he's always had on his magic, and returning to Busan to take up his grandmother's mantle.
But. Ever since his annual winter solstice ritual, his magic has been erratic, and more powerful than ever. His newfound proximity to the Kim coven's youngest two can only bring more trouble, if he lets them get too close. Which he won't.

“But what is it?” The tall one asks.
Jimin cringes. “Well. So." He counts it off with his hands. "A very unlikely coincidence or experience bringing strangers together. Faint strings connecting them. Bodies start to ache as if strained for a long time." He decidedly doesn't mention the way he started giving unsolicited head rubs to Jungkook to save his skin. "These are all textbook signs of a soul-bound meeting.”
He might as well have told them the world was ending.
The silence goes on, beyond awkward and tense. Jimin can only drop his gaze to his feet. He will not be the one to break this silence.
Surprisingly Jungkook, who's still at the floor, squeaks out, “Are you saying we’re-”
“Yes,” he replies, sheepishly smiling at him then looking up at everyone else. “Soul-bonded. Or, you know, soulmates.”
