Summary
Of all the stories he’s read, Phainon would’ve never chosen to reincarnate into this one. It’s a messy world, not because of complex political schemes or endless, cruel wars, but because the lore is all over the place. Even the wiki has partially given up on certain plot points– and that certainly says something.
Oh, and also because there is a character who shares his name, and it’s a character deeply loathed by the fanbase, Phainon included.
Unfortunately, whoever plopped him down in this story hasn’t heard his misgivings, and so, here he is: the fake hero of Amphoreus, Phainon of Aedes Elysiae.

Summary
Somehow, Phainon finds himself inside a book he's never even heard of, haunted by some sort of glowing screen. Since he's stuck in someone elses body, he decides he might as well life out their dream before he lets himself die. It can't possibly be much worse than living through 33550336 cycles of everyone and everything he's ever known dyning.
And he's right. Partly. While it may not be worse, it sure as hell doesn't get any better when Mydeimos himself shows up spitting insults.
Phainon wants a refund. And a break.

Phainon, post 3.4, finds himself in the body of an alternate version of himself. To no ones surprise, he can't even be happy here without fighting for his life for it.
