Mo Ran makes his way over to Chu Wanning and reaches out to him, wanting to help set up the plates. "Ah, baobei, let me—" he starts, about to ask for the stack in his hands, when he belatedly registers the endearment he blurted out without thinking. His hands suddenly freeze in midair as his face heats up. Okay, I can totally make this into a joke, or maybe even an insult, call him a baby or something—
But Chu Wanning, the frustratingly-oblivious-yet-completely-adorable devil that he is, actually responds to Mo Ran's address. He turns his head towards him with a tilt, even a little hm? escaping his mouth, and now there is absolutely no way for either of them to get back from this.
