Summary
Stiles was suddenly being married off at the age of sixteen despite having grown up into the woods because all magic users were threaten to be executed by Queen Talia back in the days.
Now here he was having to marry Prince Derek Hale who was supposed to take the throne and had it stuck in his head that Kate was his soulmate despite being the enemy. Stiles now has to deal with marrying someone who is in love with someone who wants to slaughter all beings with magic and take all the land for themselves, wanting to get closer to his father he had never met before and doesn't know he exist, and try to prevent a war that would devastate thousands.
How was he supposed to do all of this without making it all worse?

Peter rolls his eyes. ''Yes, of course. Who could ever forget the pack of zombie dogs you released upon the city.''
Stiles cackles, remembering how the pack of strays had stormed a hot dog cart on Times Square. It was absolute mayhem.
Deaton just gives him an unimpressed look, mouth pressed into a thin line. ''Mr. Stilinski has always had an aptitude for.. mischief. He is a powerful magic-user, and the bureau, unfortunately, doesn't have enough of those on the field, so..'' The druid moves his hand in a sweeping, self explanatory gesture towards Stiles. ''Detective Derek Hale, meet your new partner.''

'Getting bitten, hit and buried alive (not in that order) by an asshole alpha werewolf without the very much needed explicit consent' or 'your girlfriend's family just happens to be anti-werewolves for some godfucking reason and you just sadly happen to be a furry (you are Scott McCall, congrats)' or 'getting hit by your mom who thinks you're killing her even though you didn't do shit and you're literally like eight years old' or 'getting your house burnt down and your family murdered by a pedophile bitch called "Kate" for all things sacred (your name is Derek Hale in this scenario)' kind of unfair.

Okay, no. Rewind.
Stiles says 'No' and rejects Peter's offer of the bite, but Peter bites him anyways. Then Stiles dies. And that kicks a lot of events loose that he would've never considered possible before, but hey, he got buried alive and clawed himself out of his grave today already and apparently he's neither human nor actually his father's kid, so that's... something.
Also, he kills Peter at some point.

What he doesn’t expect, stupidly he should add, is the fucking werewolf that bit Scott.
Stiles runs into a clearing when a hush falls through the forest, spooking him into stopping just at the edge of it where the werewolf stands on the other side. He’s gigantic on two legs, feet twisted like an actual animal's are. And the arms hang on both sides brush the ground with their length, claws thick and black like Stiles remembers. His snout is long and formed into a loose snarl, eyes crimson bright and pupils narrowed into pinpricks.
Stiles stops breathing at the sight, goosebumps rattling up his skin and eyes catching on the blood that drips down the beast's fingers. He doesn’t see how this thing could be human at any time, so monstrous and terrifying as it is.
