He gives her a onceover. She looks as if she’s about to keel over. “I believe they do make certain…exceptions.”
“Yeah? You mean like the fact that since we’re traveling companions, they’ll be considerate enough to allow me in?”
“Not exactly.” He clicks his tongue. “Might have to put ya back on a leash.”
Her sleep-deprived eyes widen a bit. “Oh…” she breathes upon realisation. “That kind of companion.”
