That's the reason Shiro's call was so dreadfully shocking.Keith had Hanahaki Disease, had refused the surgery and wouldn't tell them who was the person he loved. Keith may be willing to die for love, but Lance wasn't about to let him. Lance was going to find the mystery person who held Keith's heart and beg them to love Keith back, even if his heart broke in the process.

This piece is mostly introspective; an exploration of grief in unsafe enviornments and what happens when we're finally allowed to mourn for those we lost in a safe space.

Summary
When Lance met Nyma, he didn't expect her to make his life a living hell. After discovering her affair with Rolo, not only was he beaten black and blue, but also kicked out of his own appartment. Lance turns to the only person who might still help him.
Keith has been trying to get over Lance since Lance pushed everyone off and ran off with Nyma. Lance even blocked everyone on social media and let them know exactly how he felt about them via text. Just as Keith's beginning to heal from that ordeal, Lance stumbles back into his life, beaten black and blue and barefoot, and curse his bleeding, lovesick heart, he can't turn Lance away. The conversation makes Keith wonder, however, if perhaps there is more to the story than he knows.
