Three years ago, there was an unsuccessful coup on Dreamland’s monarchy. The only thing keeping Meta Knight from execution was his usefulness, and perhaps the tears of the star-child himself. In those years he remained King Dedede's knight for the purposes of protecting Dreamland and preserving his life, though he was forced to stay in the castle walls and obey Dedede's every order. It was miserable—for both of them.
And surely things would have stayed that way, were it not for the crashing of an alien ship and the interruption of a picnic neither of them had wanted to attend.
OR
Dedede and Meta Knight learn not to hate each other via the common goal of hating Magolor and wanting to protect their respective children.

Summary
Susie is... upset, to say the least when Kirby and friends manage to rescue The Mage Sisters and their cruel patriarch, Hyness. She doesn't trust them not to cause more problems, and not only that, but she's infuriated by the way they declare they've received a 'happy ending.' She knows that just because their father is alive doesn't mean that things are going to turn out well for them. In fact, she's quite certain they won't.
Struggling to navigate this difficult sense of skepticism and doubt alongside her general dislike for them, she tries time and time again to tell them that they're just setting themselves up for hurt.
But does she actually believe that, or is she jealous of the mercy they've received? Is there even a difference?
The more she thinks about it, the less and less sure she is.

The Queen's suffering was supposed to end after that... and so why? Why is she still here?

The mysterious butterfly tells her that it's because of her regrets— that all she wishes she could have done differently has kept her tethered to this plane— but that makes her scoff... at least until it reveals two other harrowing things:
Her heart has been twisted— rotted from the inside out— and as for her?
Well, she's dead. Her tragic fairy tale has, unfortunately, come to an end.
Of course, initially, she doesn't want to believe either statement. But as she's forced to helplessly watch the person she once cared about spiral in the wake of her passing, it soon becomes impossible to deny. And, now, all she can do is watch the consequences of her actions play out, hoping that, at least, her best friend will be able to make it out of this alright, even if that means that she's ultimately left behind.

Taranza is confused, admittedly, when Kirby comes to him with a favor... asking him to keep an eye on someone for a little bit. He's more than willing to take in the mysterious 'Susie,' of course, seeing as how she has no way to return home following the destruction of her company's space ship, but also doesn't understand why he specifically was chosen.
...It's not as if he can help her with her problems, can he?
Little does he know, he might just have more in common with the withdrawn and troubled Susie than he could possibly imagine... and having finally found someone that understands him, he might be able to start healing from his own painful past.

After Kirby's adventures in the New World, he shares the story with the Star Allies. All of them are amazed, but Taranza most of all, for it's through this, he learns of Morpho Knight.
It turns out that death isn't just a concept. It's a being, and that means it can be bargained with.
Despite his friends' objections, he seeks out the Fluttering Fiend... and somehow, he's able to get his way. He makes the ultimate sacrifice, and with it, wills the happy ending he's spent years searching for into reality:
He returns Sectonia, the person he loves most, to life.
But this miracle may not be everything it seems. Although uncorrupted, Sectonia is far from well— haunted by her actions and left grappling with an extreme identity crisis. And to make things even worse, her body soon starts to morph to represent her unstable self-image.
Punished for her vanity, she's left something eerie and mismatched: neither Arachnid or Sectra, and although Taranza promises to love her no matter what, it seems adjusting to a new normal may be more difficult than either of them could have possibly imagined; especially when considering what exactly it is Taranza gave up to resurrect her:
Half of his soul.
