Mike blinks, clearly processing everything that's been happening since he stepped outside.
“Vecna? Vecna showed you me getting hurt?” Mike leans in slightly, grabbing Will's arm.

I believe theres a reason Will called Mike his Tammy, and i hope Mike is smart enough to pick up on Will’s word choices to try and shoot his shot at the end of the world. But it doesn’t go entirely to his plan, but they figure it out.

Summary
The silence never comes, because ten feet away from him is Will, sitting on a tree stump.
Will who has yet to notice him, back facing Mike and appearing to be looking at something fixed to the floor. Mike pauses, and he can hear his own breath precipitating around him. Unsure of what to do he just stands, eyes fixed wide staring at Will's profile and trying his hardest not to move, not to be detected. But in the end his attempts are futile because just as he's about to turn on his heels and bolt a voice breaks the quiet. "You can say something you know." Will breathes, still not turning to face him.
Mike walks forward, the leaves crunching underfoot, because what else can he do. "Hey." He says, voice shaking a little with the faux nonchalance.
OR; After a nightmare, without semblance of thought Will does something that shocks Mike, and they eventually talk!

"I can’t believe you came all the way downstairs because I was having a nightmare.” Will says it jokingly, but he’s honestly quite touched by the fact that Mike cares so much about him.
“You called. Of course I came,” Mike informs like it’s nothing, shaking Will’s arm with the subtlest of smiles.
Will is entirely overwhelmed.
Or
Will has a nightmare and calls for Mike subconsciously. Mike comes running, just like he always does when Will needs him.

Mike and Will are taken by the military who take a special interest in Wills powers. While Will is subject to experimentation, Mike does everything he can to keep Will safe.

"Will!" Mike crashes to the ground next to him. Gets a good look at him.
Wills eyes are dazed slightly. They latch on to Mike anyways and he seems to sag with relief. The blood from Wills nose falls onto his lip. Into his mouth.
"That was- that was amazing!" Mike brings his sleeve up and wipes the blood away. He opens his arms and lets Will collapse against him, head resting on Mikes chest and Mike doesn't even think twice about how intimate it should feel.

Summary
There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.
