“The Xianzhou Luofu?” Zhongli repeated slowly as if savouring the words. He looked at Neuvillette, and the taller man frowned slightly. Then they started a heated discussion, and Neuvillette’s voice got progressively colder and colder while Zhongli’s got dangerously close to a growl. Then, Zhongli snapped something and gesticulated at their surroundings, and Neuvillette pressed his lips together. When the latter spoke up again, his tone was flat but lacked the previous fury.
Zhongli’s posture immediately relaxed and he turned to Jing Yuan, his incredible golden eyes shining warmly. “Our sincerest apologies. It does seem that we accidentally ended up on a different world during a… magical mishap.”

All Neuvillette had wanted to do was spend a relaxing day off with his daughter in Liyue. One certain Archon had to ruin that. And now - and now Neuvillette, Étoile, and said Archon suddenly found themselves on an entire different world. Perhaps even universe.

Or, the days (months) before, during, and after that fateful trial that would change Fontaine and her people forever. While Neuvillette deserves a hug and a break, Furina most definitely needs a hug and a therapist. Wriothesley gets dragged into something more surreal than he could ever imagine, but at least he gets to be a father now. And have a beautiful dragon in his bed. What more could he want?

Truly, the Archons couldn’t be just all bad, no good, right? Even the non-Dendro, non-Hydro kind. And yet the way Neuvillette talked about them felt as if they had personally insulted his daughter. Yes, they were using a stolen Authority, but had they had a choice when accepting it? Could they simply give it up again? Very tricky questions, all, and Wriothesley would love to make a picture for himself, thank you very much.
Also, there's a secret second reason he's travelling. Hopefully Neuvillette can forgive him for being absent.

Four simple words, yet so life-changing. Was this how the people he judged guilty and exiled to the Fortress of Meropide felt? As if their world had been turned upside down, freefalling, with the laws of physics no longer working. He felt as if he was floating through the depths of the ocean, but without the gentle pressure of water keeping him grounded.
Neuvillette felt… lost.

Or, Neuvillette in heat and a drunk Wriothesley are not a responsible combination (unless unexpected results are desired). Furina is a brat, as always, but enjoys tormenting Neuvillette even more after that encounter and Sigewinne is the balm that keeps Neuvillette sane.
And he may or may not be in denial about his confusing feelings because there absolutely were no feelings to talk about.

“I’m a convicted murderer, for Furina’s sake, Sigewinne! A criminal he personally exiled to Meropide when I was still a teenager. How many humans do you know who killed people before they were halfway through their growth spurt?”

Or where Neuvillette maybe kind of proposes to Wriothesley and the Duke of Meropide goes through an emotional crisis (he survives). Furina decides to meddle, again, because no one is acting fast enough, and Clorinde gets dragged into the entire mess.

Wriothesley crossed his arms, completely unimpressed with Neuvillette’s attitude. “Well, our hysteric Archon visited Meropide and ordered that I accompany Sigewinne here because Fontaine’s beloved Iudex had fainted. Just doing my job.”

Or, where Neuvillette has a vision while spending time with his daughter, he definitely didn't faint, and Furina, being the brat that she is, decides to meddle and help her beloved Iudex out with his relationship to Wriothesley. Not that he needed any help.
And hopefully Wriothesley doesn't end up hating him for keeping a giant secret from him. Or several, really.
