A brief moment passed as Dudley looked down at the mug of tea- and then, smile widening, he looked up. “Yeah. Yeah, I am.”
A small hand met a large one, and Harry and Dudley shook hands for the second time. Harry felt the same swooping excitement he’d felt when he’d handed off the money to Fred and George for their joke shop. This might be a disaster, but it would most certainly be interesting.
“I hope you like Indian!” A clatter on the steps, and Hermione entered the kitchen. She frowned, looking between them. “Is there something going on?”
“Dudley’s moving in,” said Harry. “Did you get samosas?”

Draco is too abrasive for Ron and Ron too abrasive for Draco, but Harry, it seems has chosen both of them for friends, so they flank him in the corridors and ward off attacks. Ron is no coward when someone sends a hex their way, and Draco, though a Gryffindor, was raised a Slytherin and understands the ploys their green-and-silver classmates try.
“Ignore them,” he says, joining Ron in half-dragging Harry away from Pansy and Theo casting insults at Harry’s late mother. “They want a response. Don’t let them get one.”
“But they-”
“You can hex them later,” Ron says. “But Percy would have reported all of you to McGonagall if you’d attacked them.”

Redesigning the official Ministry Robes seems like the logical thing to do.
Hermione suggests it a month after she is elected Minister for Magic. There is something uncomfortable about wearing the same old robes that haunted those same old hallways during the war, back when the Ministry was a different place and the weight of cowardice broke everyone’s back. It is an appropriate way of signalling a new era, Hermione feels, dressing up everyone in different clothes and more vivid colours.
It really seems like a good idea.
And then Pansy shows up.
The one in which Hermione thinks in maths and graphs and equations and pines after Pansy while Pansy pines after her.
