Chustrojin. Enough said.
But really, this is a really nice character study of these two, their marriage, and the flaws that inevitably came up because of it. Almost reminds me of the Clover's Hat oneshot, but that one was more focused on the legacy left behind in death, and the lengths we'll go in order to preserve it and shape it to our whims; Clover, thankfully, is very much alive in this one.

Finally. Some good body horror. Youjo Senki crossovers are, oddly enough, the only type of crossover fic that I ever stomach (I don't really count the game show ones), and this one... it is right. Something exceeding even my own darkest thought of gore, breaking free of the more G-rated Fandom works I usually consume.
...Maybe I might start liking PM Fandom crossovers soon, too.

Maybe she could ring out eloquence, splatter it onto platters to serve up to the fools who would never understand, no matter how pretty she worded it. But maybe her stuttering suffering could be enough, something enthralling in the tragedy. Maybe she could be a train wreck wrenching their eyes, to her, on her, unable to look away. But eyes could only burn her, could only itch until she clawed at her skin raw. Is such a thing palatable, to the masses that only scream more more more, consuming with nary a thought? Is that what beauty is—could ever be? Is something painful art? She could never hope to understand it, such vague, hurtful sentiments.
Everyone always says how pretty the moon is, shattered up in the sky and in pieces.

upon getting closer they see a bright light emanate from the object.
"dammit this was a flashbang" said ruby squinting her eyes from the intense light.
"i'm afraid it wasn't just a stuning granade friend ruby" said penny blinking to recalibrate her eyes.
after the effect of the bright faded they saw what penny was referring to

It was too dark to see, too silent to hear, too empty to even think about it. A little more and they could feel the cold, hard glass of the container they're inside, trapped for who knows how long. It could be hours, it could be days, or it could be centuries.
It feels like centuries, until it doesn't.
And a dark, misterious ceiling with a light too bright welcomes them. It's not a warm welcome.
