Summary
Danny didn’t want to be here, didn’t want to be smiling at people who thought he was worth nothing more than the dirt on their shoes, didn’t want to be dressed up like a doll. But Vlad told him to behave, so he did. Vlad needs these people’s money and influence to expand his business, so Danny’s job is to smile and nod and charm his way into hearts and wallets. The Waynes, though, seem to be able see right through Danny’s mask. Even stranger, they seem to want to help him.
OR
Danny is outed as Phantom to his parents who then hand him over to Vlad Masters with the promise that Masters will “bring their Danny back” and punish the ghost who is “wearing their son’s skin”. Masters jumps at the opportunity to use Danny as a substitute for his Obsession, training Danny to be his heir and experimenting on him in turn. It all changes when Masters blusters his way into various parties to gain influence, wielding Danny as a pity-card, and they gain the notice of Bruce Wayne (abused-and-orphaned-children Foster Dad Extraordinaire).

Summary
There's something different about the kid who just broke Barbara's library phone. She's seen her fair share of wary, wounded kids. She's no stranger to helping them where she can, offering supplies and pointing out shelters.
Most of those kids aren't wearing renn faire clothes, leaving dents in phone receivers, or talking like they just finished screaming. Or turning all her security cameras to static when they come too close.
There's a mystery here, and Babs isn't the only one who wants to solve it. But with every answer they find, ten more questions take their place.
The Fentons left Danny shattered in more ways than one. With new knowledge of his ghost half, and a damaged core, Danny comes to Gotham weak and hurting, but with a purpose. The Far Frozen and the yetis have done all they can, but Danny needs more than the ghosts alone can give.
He's two halves of a whole and while he finally has what he needs on the ghost side--the human side is a different story.
