15 years after the death of his son, Robbie Robertson struggles to find a purpose beyond trying to eliminate Shroud as a means of revenge. When he's offered a job at SDN to work as a dispatcher for the ever bothersome Z Team, he believes these brats to be hopeless, and his presence useless. Perhaps the Z Team can prove him wrong, and show him that there is still hope for us all, perhaps even for himself.

No, Ezra didn’t know. It’s been over a week since her unexpected induction into the Ghost crew, and Kanan’s barely spoken more than a handful of words to her, let alone offer any Jedi lessons. Honestly, she shouldn’t be surprised anymore. It was no secret that she perpetually pissed people off wherever she went. The Ghost unfortunately would be no different. Ezra must’ve greatly offended the man somehow, seeing that he was actively avoiding her like the plague.
She just wished she knew why.
Basically an in-depth, behind-the-scenes exploration of Kanan and Ezra’s bond as master and apprentice throughout the series, except in this universe Ezra is a girl, and Kanan is a bit of an overprotective father.

When Z-Team overhears a conversation between Robert and Phenomaman that they shouldn't have, they learn something alarming about their dispatcher. he hasn't had a heat in ten years! Robert doesn't understand why that's a problem. Heats aren't a big deal, he doesn't need them. His doctor, however, thinks it’s a very big deal and decide the best course of action is to force a heat to get him back on the right path.
Now Robert has three options: stay with Chase, stay with one of the Z-team or go to a heat house to ride out this forced heat. Can Z-Team prove they are worthy enough to help him through this?

Having multiple soulmates was something romanticized in stories, but absolutely loathed in practice. Made all the more complicated by the people experiencing it. Every bond was intermingled, looped and knotted up in others. It made the connections murky, the limits hard to grasp. Unfairly proportioned, a gift to some, a curse to others.

“I just..” he motions up at the MechaMan suit. “I purposely stayed away. Tried to hide away from the bond. I felt like knowing me would only put them in danger. Heroes don't live safe lives. What if one of my enemies went for them because of me?”
“How about we look at it other way.” Robert frowns “If YOUR soulmate was in danger, would you want them to stay away? Or would you want them to let you help?”

He might be temporarily retired as a superhero, drowning in thousands of dollars of credit card debt, fighting through chronic pain, unable to take revenge for his father’s killer, and working as the barely respected leader of a group of superpowered assholes… but at least he didn’t have to deal with that.
