Scott, being an elf, almost never gets sick. But every few years, when he does get sick, it gets close to fatal on the worst days. But Scott being Scott, doesn't whant to put himself in any of his caring friends hands, from fear of being a burden or annoying. So when he gets sick in Double life, he tries his best to hide to everyone that he's sick, not wanting to ask Grian for a game stop that his body so desperately needs. He thinks it will be easy since he quickly figures out it's an illness that only affects elves, so pearl doesn't feel it over the soulmate bond. But the fact that he still falls head over heels for Jimmy, while he is definitely in a romantic relation ship with his soulmate Tango and Pearl using lots off powdered snow to mess with him, doesn't make the whole 'hiding his illnes" thing that he is so desperately trying to do, very simple.
