Under clothing or an umbrella, it’s not as bad, but it’s still an annoyance. I suppose if I stood out in the desert sun, naked, and the sun did not set for many days, it would burn me quite severely. Maybe kill me, if I was dedicated.” Armand explained.

Sunlight might not kill a 514 year old vampire, but it's not pleasant to stand out in the sun. Daniel wants to see Armand in the daylight.
