I've always thought the best timing for Naruto to abandon the village would be in the one month training period before the end of the Chunin exams. Without Jiraiya, who would really notice if he left...
Naruto is in the academy, but because he shows no talent the Council decides that he will always face his worst match up in the graduation exam. He's too important as a pptential weapon to let him die as a genin and it's the easiest place to keep an eye on him or so they think. Did they really expect Naruto to not learn anything in his years being at the Academy? When he surprises them by actually graduating they think it's a fluke but they assign the Copy Ninja to keep his eye on him for anything suspicious, but Naruto's never had anyone he could trust, he's good at keeping his cards close to his chest and not revealing a thing.When even Team 7's leader fails to see underneath the underneath and devotes his attention to the other members and leaves him basically with no watcher for the month leading up to the Chunin finals - Naruto realizes he has 30 days to run as far as he can

Summary
Palladium poisoning is not the issue he thinks. The issues is the pain. The issue is that the normally unnoticed satisfaction of breathing escaped him. The issue is that this may never end.
He has had many excursions skirting death, but he knows something no one left alive does. That no matter what, his heart will just keep beating - even if he does not want it to.
He thinks, "Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?" And of his response, the one he never allowed himself to say, "Everything special about you came from me"
And this is what he knows. Immortality is a curse. And he isn't so much alive as impossible to kill. He should know. His dad tried several times. And from his blood, from his marrow came the serum. And that's a secret he intends to take to the grave.
Just a drabble at this point - but I've read so much BNHA fanfics that this became a brainworm and had to be let out. Similar to how Eri is used to create quirk erasing bullets, Tony's mutant genes inspire Howard to run experiments that create the Super Solider Serum. AU obviously, where Tony and Steve are a lot closer in age.

Summary
Minato was a sealing genius, one of the few from outside the Uzumaki clan. So on the night the Kyuubi is unsealed, he is prepared with a slightly updated seal. The shinigami takes a different price in exchange for sealing the Kyuubi into Minato’s son. Somehow, fate decides to play a crueler trick on little Naruto.

Anthony Stark was a genius. He knew too many things, so many facts and figures he didn't even need a moment to think about before speaking. Though he has learned by now that its often better to stay quiet. He knew other things too. The stinging pain when his father slapped him around for being to annoying, and the dizzying pain when his father got even angrier, too many different kinds of pain for him to count. So he knows when MIT sends him his acceptance letter that Howard would kill him before he got the chance to set foot on campus. It doesn't matter though, Anthony doesn't plan on sticking around anymore not after Howard had let that happen. Now several hundred miles away, Tony gets a chance to start living at the ripe old age of 14.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Summary
The One Year Contract.
Something changes and a turn of events cause an eleven year old Naruto to be whisked off to the ROOT HQ. The Academy class is told that Naruto would be back for the Genin exam but not before then.
Twelve months later, a similar looking Naruto returns with a smile that’s just as sunny before. But if one were to examine it long enough, they’d realise that it held an undertone of grim determination and icy detachment.
(or, what would happen if Hiruzen was just a little too tired, and Danzo's whispers were just a little too convincing?)
