❝Dick carefully takes the book back from Jon, his questing and inquisitive eyes on him as he sits down cross-legged and opens the book. The boy keeps a distance, but nonetheless looks intrigued. Dick helpfully tilts the book towards him as he slowly reads the story, giving him time to inspect the bright pictures and the holes. He watches with unaltered delight the little boy slowly inching closer to him to look at the book better. He seems to be so fascinated that he has forgotten to be wary of Dick. When he finally closes the book, Jon reaches out and opens it on the first page, looking at him expectantly.
Dick feels overwhelmed by a burst of tenderness for this little boy. With a wide grin, he starts reading again.❞
The Grayson-Wilson household gains a new resident; Bruce wrestles with his demons.
