Summary
Follow up to A Thousand Times Again.
Robby had been thanked by former patients before, but he usually had some idea of who they were. He didn't recognize Rosemary Lawton at all.
Twenty two years ago, despite being seriously injured, Robby managed to save a guy's life with a well stocked med bag and a few prayers to a God he didn't believe in.
Twenty two years later, that moment chooses to waltz back into his life through an ambulance bay that really needs better security protocols.
(AKA, Robby gets an unexpected visit from a very thankful family who seem to want to do their level best to embarrass him with their gratefulness in front of his entire team).

Summary
Iraq, 2003. Not exactly a tourist destination, but then, Robby wasn't a tourist. Most of his MSF volunteering up to now had been less 'war zone' and more refugee camp/inner city slum. He knew going in that this was going to be different, but Robby really had no idea what he was really in for.
A little expansion on part of the invented backstory I wrote about in Silence Isn't Quiet. Just what happened during that MSF stint in Iraq?

Summary
Robby goes on his motorcycle trip for his sabbatical. He really thought it would help him clear his head, fix his mind, turn him into a new man… But two months in, he has to reckon with the fact that he is still running away and it hasn’t fixed a single thing. If anything, it all seems even worse than it was and he is losing his way back.
Feeling more isolated and alienated than ever, he wonders what the future could even hold. But while he may not have many people in his life, those are thankfully not willing to give up on him. And maybe, maybe they could help him find his way home.
He stayed there, wiping stingy tears away from his eyes with the sleeve of his jacket and sniffling. He knew Dana was right. The guilt coiled at the bottom of his stomach knew she was right. But he was terrified, and the longer it went on, the worse it became. He didn’t know how to get out of it. He was trying, he desperately was, but the urge to run away always won. And when it didn’t, the paralysis did and made him a prisoner of his own body and mind.
