He wondered how he got into this situation, already regretting filling the job application form when it had sounded like a good idea at two am a week ago. He told himself it was temporary anyway. Yesterday, had been annoying. Today would be boring. He could handle boring. Boring didn’t involve blood, capes, or emotional devastation.
