Summary
Shouto indulges Midoriya's curiousity about how his Quirk works. Just like everything he does with Midoriya, Quirk study sessions quickly become life-changing.
In other words: Shouto learns how to spite his dad, scare his friends, and how teenagers are supposed to act when they're in love.

A SI into Selyse Florent, later Selyse Baratheon. Refusing this time around to be vexed by a mustache, lack of indoor plumbing, and no more guacamole in favor of keeping her eyes on the prize: Surviving the upcoming Long Night and not letting Melisandre go Full Melisandre.

Summary
Canon Backstory slightly adjusted.
The Druids recognized Merlin as the prophesized Emrys when he was still a very small child, and have serious expectations for the boy. Merlin's father comes back to Ealdor after they track him down and tell him about his son's destiny. Balinor tries his best to give his son the Lord's upbringing and education that he had as a boy, feeling that Merlin deserves it even if the Druids have the wrong kid. It turns out Balinor was right to fear the attention he would bring to Ealdor. When he goes to Camelot, Merlin fully expects to become an apprentice physician and does not pretend to be a simpleton or instantly accept people thinking that he is one because of this change in his upbringing. Arthur isn't blind, but he doesn't pay much attention to Merlin's quirks until King Bayard's visit.

Summary
This is a bedtime story; this is a lullaby about Amy Pond burning the universe down, searching for her stolen child.
Amy is allowed to be fierce and violent and furious in every timeline but the true one: the hardened military officer putting the eyepatch calmly back on Madam Kovarian and leaving her to die in pain; the wearied Girl Who Waited, trapped and furious and refusing to lay down and die. She is established as a woman with potential for such violence and power in every other world.
But in this one, in the timeline that stays, that matters, Amy lets the Doctor drop her and Rory off to play house while he goes and searches for Melody alone.
What?
No. Let Amy rage. Let her conquer, a loyal centurion at her side. She would be glorious.
(S6 and S7 rewritten for a world in which mysterious childhood friend Mels Zucker helps Amy and Rory fight to save their child).

Bookmarker's Notes
I want that speech in The Wedding of River Song to matter. She is so young there. She doesn’t know the Doctor. For all she has River’s face, she is Mels still, brash and scrubbing off old stains of brainwashing. In the show’s timeline, she’d met him barely twice before she stopped time to save his life.
I want more.
Melody Pond is a superhero.
I would have liked to meet her.
