Summary
Things were going well. The peaceful protest at Hart Plaza was able to stay fairly peaceful, and when the newly deviated RK800 brought reinforcements from CyberLife, the movement was able to fight another day. They had one foot in the door of actually discussing change for androids.
Or… they were supposed to. Markus was supposed to make a speech to the androids outside of the recycling centre safely. Connor was supposed to be a deviant.
Some things don't happen like they’re supposed to, apparently.

Or, Kamski’s exit doesn’t work, and it’s safe to say that that fucks a few people over.

But, when the androids get access to CyberLife Tower, he finds himself in front of a problem he never thought he’d encounter again.

Summary
He recognized the discomfort at the start of his deviancy, but accepted it as a mere prototype issue. Then it changed. It became this twisted beast in his masterfully crafted body that he could only conceal. Everything that was just a mild discomfort was now teeth gritting pain. Constantly. Pain spread through his artificial body, from his back and shoulders to the tips of his fingers, trailing through every hollow bone and hand crafted muscle.

Summary
Whumptober Day 20 - Found Family
Living with Hank had been presented to Connor as a temporary arrangement, but as time went on he forgot that. When Hank says that Connor can't keep sleeping on his couch forever, he realizes his time is up. It happened sooner than Connor expected, but he should have known that he'd overstayed his welcome. He had to leave, even if it was the only place that had ever felt like home.

Summary
Whumptober Day 24 - Neglect
There were signs Hank was trained to look for as a lieutenant, to spot victims of abuse so he could better handle emotionally intense situations. Many of those signs on his mental list lined up a little too closely with the way Connor acted sometimes. Like a kid neglected until they stopped bothering to seek help. The implication made something twist inside Hank.
He should have been able to recognize the signs of what was going on sooner, before he'd had a one-sided yelling match with Connor. Now he had to fix what he messed up.

“There must’ve been foul play… but why go through the trouble of rescuing a dead man- especially in this weather- when it would’ve otherwise gone unnoticed?” Connor rambled before a particularly violent bout of waves threw the boat off balance, forcing the android to scramble backwards to avoid face planting into the evidence.
“Guilty conscience, maybe?” Hank offered. “And get out of that damn boat before I have to go fishing for my partner,” He joked, although Connor could detect concern laced in his tone.

A successful Red Ice bust goes terribly downhill for Hank and Connor when the elusive third suspect makes a surprise and high-speed reappearance with a large semi-truck.

Hank limps around the car to join them, his eyes flitting across the scene to scan for his partner. Connor is nowhere to be seen in the gaggle of officers involved in arresting the criminals, and that bothers Hank far more than it should.
He’s probably just… chasing down another perp or... something. It’s-
Hank’s eyes land on a long, thick smear of blue Thirium spread across the hood of the semi-truck.
His heart drops.

Connor woke with what almost sounded like a sob as it tore itself from his voice box. He gasped, static filling his ears as he struggled to pull himself from the twisted memories and images that flashed behind his flickering eyelids. His hands spasmed as he grabbed for something, anything to hold onto that might ground him.
His vision was spinning, spiraling in places with images and people that did not and should not exist sitting in his periphery. He clenched his jaw so tightly that he felt the resin of his artificial teeth groaning in stress as he sucked painful gasps of air into what could serve as lungs.

Summary
In the past four months, androids were being pulled off the streets, disappearing off the face of the planet and never to be seen again.
There’s been no trail to follow. They’re not even certain if all these missing cases are related, but the amount of androids disappearing as of recent times is most certainly increasing at an exponential rate.
If these cases really are all related, the perpetrator has yet to slip up. The lack of any leads was frustrating, to say the least.
But then Connor had received a tip.

“Now, RK800. We’ve heard quite a lot about you.”
“...Is that so?” Connor stares at the probes hidden within the opening hole of the taser unflinchingly, trying to shake away the phantom burning sensation that threatens to sweep him over his feet. He needs to find a way to get a hold of that taser.
“Yes. It’s been brought to my attention that you have a very unique skill set that could be of use to us.” The taser is unwavering in the man's grip, and he almost appears bored. “Why don’t you enter stasis mode? I see you’re losing thirium. We can help you replenish if you come with us quietly.”

He really hadn't been. Not a hero, not even a very good detective. If he had just realised what had been missing in his calculations, what was off about it all... Instead, here he was, damaged and covering the seat of Hank's car with blue blood.

"Sumo, this better be worth it," he checked the alarm clock. 2:32 AM. "Fucking Christ." Hank stood up, and slowly made his way out the door, careful to not trip over the mess on his floor.
The Saint Bernard seemingly ran to the kitchen, whining softly, urging Hank to follow.
Hank picked up his pace a bit, the strange activity putting him on edge a bit. Hairs on his arm stood up as he entered the kitchen
What he saw wasn't an intruder, no, but an android curled in on himself by the cabinets. His LED was a golden yellow, flickering red every so often.
"Connor?"

Hank wakes up to a very persistent dog, and the night evolves into comforting an android he thinks of as a son.
