Beatrice shrugs, scratching the back of her head, “You said you had an off day today, and you’ve been wanting to go for a picnic so I thought-”
There’s an eruption of happy shouts and then Ava is jumping onto her, Beatrice barely managing to catch her, “Darling?”
Ava has a Cheshire grin on her face, Beatrice can feel it from where she’s buried her face into that juncture of her neck, and her arms are tight against her, encapsulating her back. “Wow.” Ava mumbles, “Have I told you you’re perfect yet?”

“I mean I don’t think you’ll want to visit.” Lena clarified because the concept of making Kara feel rejected or abandoned was far worse than anything else she could experience.

The waitress raises an eyebrow, like she’s surprised someone as awkward as Adora has a date. She smirks, and questions, “blind date?”
Adora feels herself blushing and wonders how the woman knows. “Uh, maybe.”'
Or, Bow and Glimmer set Adora up on multiple bad dates, and Catra is the cute waitress at the restaurant who's enjoying the show.

“Damn it,” Alex grumbles, kicking at an empty chair until it skids across the floor. “Come on, guys. There has to be someone who can go undercover. Any woman under 30 at this bureau who can put on some makeup and twirl in a circle.”
And then all eyes, inexplicably, go to Kara.
“Who?” Kara asks, looking back and forth between Alex and Vasquez and surreptitiously brushing the Cheeto dust from her pants. “Who is it, guys?”
But Alex and Vasquez just keep staring at her silently, matching grins on their faces, and after a few seconds the horrible truth dawns on her. Kara blinks, looking down at herself and then back up at them.
