Summary

No longer a naive boy but a brazen Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis storms Coruscant under the impression that the Force will always protect him, no matter how foolish his objective. Abandoned by Saw Gerrera after his mission goes sideways, Cal finds himself imprisoned in the bowels of the Jedi Temple with echoes of the past haunting him and years of regrets making him question why he followed the will of the Force rather than answering to the pull of his heart.
Lost and alone, Cal resigns himself to a certain death after a meaningless existence, forgetting that the Force is so much bigger than he is. After learning of the captured Jedi on Coruscant, a pair of revolutionaries finding their footing in the budding rebellion, two forgotten sisters, and a Jedi whose brush with darkness changed him forever come together to take on an impossible mission that will force them to face their demons in order to save one of their own.
Will they be able to set aside the silent pains that plague them and find hope in the face of despair or will the weight of reality keep them from rising above—and saving Cal—before it’s too late?
