Summary
For the Tolkien Summer Reverse Bang—inspired by art by hrymfaxe. Prompt: I am hoping that this will inspire some backstory/fic about Beorn and/or the Beornings of which there is precious little! How were they expelled from the mountains (if that is the one of Gandalf's theories you hold with), what is up with the Carrock, his/their relationship with the other peoples living in that area etc etc. I would love anything you can come up with!
A brief imagining of Beorn's past, through his meeting with Bilbo and the dwarves and the Battle of Five Armies, and into the years that followed.

Summary
Thranduil was there at the Siege of Barad-dûr during the War of the Last Alliance, the uncrowned king of his people after the fall of Oropher. He saw the ring cut from Sauron's hand, he saw the will of men fail, and he knew Elrond's lack of heart to force Isildur's hand. For all their loss and pain, Sauron lived on.
2,900 years later, a hobbit, of all things, turns up in his halls, that same ring clutched in her slim fist as she sends a captive company of dwarves whizzing away down the Forest River to wake a dragon's fury, her too-familiar eyes staring back into his before she vanishes out from under his nose.
Utterly shameless rewrite of The Hobbit and into LotR territory, because I wanted to read something that didn't exist. Slow burn as in paired-characters-don't-meet-until-probably-20-odd-chapters-in. Title updated 3/2/19.

Summary
The living Danny—maybe playing along, or maybe responding genuinely—raised both hands in a show of harmlessness. Like Lancer truly had him at gunpoint.
Danny Fenton’s wet cold dead body was so heavy in Lancer’s single cradling arm.
“Who are you?” Lancer asked very simply.
And Danny, arms still raised high, let out a sigh deep enough to deflate his shoulders. Whatever light was in his eyes went dull, resigned to an acceptance Lancer could not in the moment understand.
“I am your worst student,” Danny answered. And he lowered one arm exclusively to point. “And THAT is the dead body of my ghost clone.”

Alone on the farthest outskirts of Amity Park, Danny Fenton and Edward Lancer bury the dead body of Danny's clone. It is long and tedious work, and Danny can't dodge Lancer's questions forever. Surely it's only fair of Lancer to demand to know what he has been pulled into. Surely Danny could use someone on his side, now that his evenings are spent burying his clones.

So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

Hobbits were created from earth and plant. They were the children of Aule and Yavanna, made in celebration of their bonding. They knew the earthen tongue. Plant and earth come to their aid.
What would the journey to Erebor be like with a female Bilbo who knew a little about surviving?

Basically me combining my desire to make Hobbits their own race (which means they get a gift of their own from Eru since all of his children get something cool), having a female Bilbo while making what happens sort of realistic as Gandalf is apparently known to take a lad or Lass of into the blue for an adventure, and making hobbits actually have a culture the reflects their past nomadic life.
