Summary
In a world where humanity is Gifted with powers, the government sanctioned heroes known as the Nefas--Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, Greed, and Lust--are beloved by civilians across the nation of Amestris. Unfortunately, the Nefas are more like bright, shiny distractions than heroes, keeping Amestrians from thinking too much about the strange disappearances of people with dangerously strong powers or the Amestrian military's steady provocation of all its former allies. The dangerous vigilantes called the Cabal, however, are all-too aware of the truth--and all-too determined to stop them.
So when the Flame breaks into a government research facility to find and destroy a weapon purportedly capable of crushing entire countries, he expects lasers, maybe serums.
He doesn't expect Project Catalyst to be a scared, broken-spirited child locked in a cage.

Between having his tires slashed, running to catch a taxi, getting soaked, arriving late to work, and being scolded by a General, he was almost ready to combust—not unlike the very air he has manipulated countless times. He’s at his boiling point—and an attitude-filled report with an achy Fullmetal Alchemist is what finally tips him over.

He had imagined what Al would've looked like if he hadn't lost his body, but actually seeing his brother's face made at all seem real. Even though Ed knew he should've been dreaming. a.k.a. A rewrite of one of the scenes from 'Conqueror of Shamballa' and an original one of my own after Al and Ed are reunited again.
