Odysseus: no I actually I sadly went insane and therefore cannot do anything to assist u. Truly a tragedy.
Diomedes: oh how will we ever recover?
Odysseus: well of course u won't
Diomedes: That was rhetorical but thanks ig. I am enlightened.
Agamemnon: So what's our next priority? Cause I've realized we don't have Achilles. Anyone wanna go find him?
Diomedes: not it. Make Ody go

of the ten years spent at Troy, the modern world gets only a glimpse of a few weeks at most.
But Drama, Tragedy and Political missteps so bad they're still talked about three thousand years in the future, are not the only goings on of the Achaean camp.

Summary
Aspiring director Achilles has decided to film a documentary of the Trojan War. Together with his scriptwriter husband Patroclus, and a cast and crew of complete lunatics, they reenact the battle seeking to capture moments both exciting and ordinary - while enduring tourists, budget cuts, and trying (failing) to stay in character.

June 6th, 1990: Achilles' story starts the night Patroclus dies in a gang related accident.
September 1st: 1981: Patroclus' story starts in jr. high, when he meets Achilles and Briseis.Alternating between the two perspectives, we see Achilles' rage and descent into unbearable grief after the death of the person who kept him tethered to earth, and Patroclus' time growing up alongside someone who's stuck in a life he didn't choose.

Summary
The tale of Odysseus is one that has been retold over countless millennia, from the mouths of poets, of authors, and historians and storytellers. But has it ever been told from the mouth of the man himself ?
This is a familiar tale, and a familiar story - the Iliad, entombed in history as ancient as the land of Greece. This is the story of the Iliad as told from the mouth of the man who made it all happen - from the mouth of the Silver-tongued prince of Ithaca. From the mouth of Odysseus
Watch as he navigates the cruelty of the war, as lovers are ripped from each other, daughters die, heroes fall, and he survives it all - armed with a quick mind and a sharp tongue.
This is not a story of heroes and gods and myth
This is a story of love, of loss and war and death
This is the story of the most human of the Grecian heroes(A retelling of the Iliad fron the POV of Odysseus. Unedited first draft of my first novel)
