"You have multiple flames!" Tsuna says, his entire beautiful face lit up in astonishment. "That's amazing!"
Gokudera blinks then looks at the rings on his hand, which are all glowing in several colours. He has no idea what having multiple flames is supposed to entail but judging from the awestruck look on Tsuna's face, it must be the Earth equivalent of having loads of money, a hot car and a big dick. Gokudera feels like a total stud now.

Blue tries to contain his smirk when the waitress returns with their order, mentally preparing himself for the hilarious spectacle Red is going to make of himself by trying to flirt. Although he feels a little guilty, now that he actually thinks about it. Red isn’t self-conscious about his muteness, exactly, but it does occasionally make him uncomfortable when he’s expected to talk and just… can’t. Or won’t. Blue’s never really asked about the how or why.
He's just about to give Red a nudge under the table to let him know he doesn’t have to go through with it when something… odd happens. Red tips up the brim of his hat to look the waitress in the eye, gives her a boyish smile, and holds out a napkin he wrote a short message on while Blue was apparently otherwise distracted.
The waitress takes the note, her whole face lighting up as she reads it. “Well, aren’t you the sweetest,” she coos and winks at Red.
She fucking winks. At Red.
Blue doesn’t understand.

It was the first year of the new programme, and Blue still wasn’t sure about how he felt about the whole thing. The plan had been to just set up the programme and let someone else handle the middle-manning. In his head, they came to Kalos, handed the kids off to some less-famous shmuck, and then he and Red could spend the time enjoying the beautiful Lumiose autumn.
As was so often the case, that had kind of fallen apart as soon as Kukui had got involved.
“Cousin, people come to the Battle Tree to see you,” he had said. “I don’t think Alola’s finest are going to hand over their hard-earned cash for less.”
He’d looked over at Red, expecting to be backed up, as was only appropriate from your boyfriend. But Red had pursed his lips and, traitorously, nodded.
So, the Champion Exchange Programme had come about with Red and Blue at the helm - Alola’s most powerful trainers on a battle-training-catch extravaganza tour through Kalos. All while Kalos’s finest enjoyed the sunny Alola battle circuit, naturally.
