Summary
POV Nicki, who goes to church after his encounter with Lestat. His father has punished him "precautiously" in case he even as much as threw an improper look at Lestat and now orders him to go to confession.
But this part of my series starts with smut (and suffering) and I tried my hands at a dominant Nicki, so I can write more bratty subby Lestat afterwards for him, when I switch POVs again. This was quite challenging, so it took me a while to work things out and feel confident enough to post the result. :'D
HOWEVER (although not inherently more than in the books):
Trigger warnings for:
- Inner conflicts with religion/relgious trauma
- Family trauma and abuse including mentions of
physical abuse and graphic descriptions of it's
consequences on the survivor
- Pyromania and sex as coping mechanisms,
including suicide ideation and
self-destructive and avoidant behaviour
- L & N's first big conflict as a result of this.Note (14th August '23):

I’ve seen these modern parents going around with leashes for their children, you could probably clip one to your belt and not lose track again since you can’t just seek his mind out the way you can with me.”
“He didn’t get lost,” Armand felt fury build in him only for it to fizzle immediately. There was so much beneath his skin but he couldn’t reach any of it. “He didn’t want to stay and I did not force it on him.”
“You’ve gone soft in your old age,” Nicolas replied. “It wouldn’t have stopped you before.”
“It wasn’t the same,” Armand snapped at him. “I didn’t love you.”
Armand and Nicolas vs. the decision on whether to go and see a catatonic Lestat and the rest of the coven gathered together.

Just some fluff on my favourite couple Nicki and Lestat.
This just got deep and emotional. Fanfic about Lestat learning about his feelings for Nicki and having realizations about his orientation and what it means to have feelings for a man in his mortal time.Nicolas is more mature than him (obviously lol) and is trying to help him process.
There's lots of insecurities, hopes, awkward moments and kissing in here.
Written specifically based on a mixture of the AMC series and book - this is the first part of an ongoing, connected series, that will lead up to the events of AMC's IWTV - season one.Series
