Summary
Despite knowing the fact that the one standing in front of him was a child, no older than his students, Shouta could not help but feel relieved. Because the boy with the quirk that Shouta can’t erase has come to the USJ. And whether vigilante or hero, they still fight to protect.
And then the villain called Nomu grabbed Joker by the head and slammed the kid into the ground. And the shattering sound wasn’t just Shouta’s heart breaking. Shouta watched in horror, waiting for blood to seep out. But no blood came out. And then Joker started to laugh. Shigaraki clawed at his own neck in frustration.
“I’m not the real one~!” Joker crooned. The puppet dissolved into hundreds of multicolored strings as laughter echoed across the entire USJ. Then a foot stepped down beside Shouta’s head. Shouta tilted his head just far enough to see Joker standing over him protectively.
“Honestly,” Joker began with a smile reminiscent of All Might’s smile, if All Might decided he was going to destroy orphanages and kick puppies for fun. “How do you expect to kill All Might, when you can’t even kill someone with a measly string quirk?”
