Some kind of chamber, or container, made of transparent glass walls going from floor to ceiling. Inside was… Something. “John, are you getting this?”

Summary
It's year seventy-three of the Hunger Games. The Tracy family are just about keeping afloat, as they have been ever since the death of Jeff Tracy, but Scott wakes on the morning of Reaping Day with a sinking feeling in his gut. Then two slips of of paper are drawn that change the family's life forever. All he can hope for is that the odds will stay in his favour. Then again, given how the Tracy family luck has been going, he doesn't have much hope.
