Summary
There is a statue in the middle of a field, surrounded by mossy stones and green grass. He bears a symbol long forgotten, and his face has been covered by it for many years. The warriors turned players turned builders know him as the Secret Keeper.
He was not always stone, nor did he always wear the Watcher's mask across his face. There once was a time in which he walked among them; when he was a player too. When he was meant for more than stone and moss. When he was meant for more than watching.
AKA: I decided in my delusional state of mind that the Secret Keeper is actually Taurtis. This is his story now.

Summary
How did it feel to see one’s heart shatter? Would he ever feel regret, if he looked back on her face, met her in the eyes as pain stabbed her in the gut? As he took everything she thought was certain and turned it on its head?
She would never know the answer to these questions, not in a lifetime so distant from her roots; from her home. Dancing through the stars had been traded for world after world of pain- empires falling to chaos, lives traded and lost in the hands of forced traitors, worlds evolving through time and falling in capture- decades upon decades of worlds thrust in her hands. For once the rules seemed simple; find the one bound to you, and survive. Yet here they were falling through her fingers.

Grian liked to think that he had mentally closed the book on all things TommyInnit. Unfortunately, things don't work that way, not for him, not when his past has always been hovering on the edges of his awareness, waiting for a moment to rush back in.
Really, the only thing Grian has been doing in the year since Tommy died has been running from everything he didn't want to confront. He forgot that when you're running from something, it means they have the chance to catch up.
